EGS Health has announced a major expansion of its Cancer Care Program through new partnerships with leading oncology hospitals and specialty centres across India. The expanded network now spans multiple states and includes some of the country’s most respected cancer institutions, enabling patients—including those living in remote and underserved regions—to access international oncology expertise through the Medicas platform.
The initiative strengthens EGS Health’s mission to democratise advanced cancer care by connecting Indian patients with globally recognised oncologists, including specialists based in the United States and the United Kingdom. Through digital second opinions, remote case reviews, and treatment plan evaluations, the program ensures that patients receive internationally benchmarked clinical guidance while continuing treatment at their local hospitals.
According to EGS Health, the rapid scaling of its partner network reflects an urgent need for high-quality cancer support across India. Many patients face delays in diagnosis or limited access to subspecialty oncologists, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. By linking global expertise with local treatment pathways, EGS Health is helping hospitals deliver more accurate, timely, and personalised oncology care.
The expanded partner network includes:
This multi-state network brings together more than 70 oncology specialists, including medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, haemato-oncology experts, and rare cancer subspecialists. The program’s strength lies in its hybrid model: local hospitals deliver primary and ongoing treatment, while international oncologists provide expert second opinions, treatment validation, genomic report interpretation, immunotherapy planning, and advanced case oversight.
EGS Health noted that this expansion will particularly benefit patients in non-metro regions, who often face long travel times, financial constraints, and limited access to specialised tertiary care. Through remote consultations facilitated by Medicas, patients can receive expert input from U.S.-based oncologists within 48–72 hours, helping them make informed decisions at critical stages of diagnosis and treatment.
The company also emphasised its commitment to strengthening India’s oncology ecosystem by supporting tumour boards, training collaborations, and cross-border case reviews—bridging the gap between local expertise and global standards.
With India witnessing a steady rise in cancer cases each year, EGS Health’s expanded partnership network aims to improve outcomes, reduce delays, and ensure every patient—regardless of location—has access to the highest standard of cancer care.
